Dominic Da Vinci has been elected Mayor of the City of Vancouver in a convincing win. And so opens a new chapter in the life of outspoken and troublesome Da Vinci. Well known as a man who advocates change, a disruption of the status quo, his foray into city politics will upset the "old boys' network" that has held Vancouver in its grasp for the last one hundred years.
While investigating the power of politics and the politics of power, Da Vinci's City Hall takes us into a world of back room deals and manipulative intrigue, of misinformation spun by disinformation experts, as various interest groups jockey and manoeuvre their way to achieve their positions of power and influence.
While the show does reside in City Hall, it lives and breathes in the multi-cultural communities of Vancouver as its setting and substance. A multi-genre procedural, the series expands its roots from the medical, legal and police procedural to include politics and the procedures of power.
